wireless streaming

some input please i am have problems streaming movies from a sever computer thorough my ps3 music works fine but the movies play for 3 seconds then freeze for 1 my processor is a pentium 4 2.5ghz i have 3 gigs of ram and a 500 gb hard drive do i need to upgrade to a dual core in order to get a constant flow without the freezing i am using nero 4 media server,thanks for any input

 

You're wireless streaming from the PC to PS3?
Are they HD movies ?
Wifi signal interference/retries ?
PS3 unable to buffer enough data ?

 

To add some to what davexnet ask, what media server are you using? If you pull up the connection status in the ps3 menu what does it say for your connection percentage? What series is your router b/g/n ?

 

my router is an n router but like i said it works bt freezes every 5 seconds

 

i am streaming just regular movies from my pc to the ps3 dvds i ripped to my hard drive i do not get an error just that it will freeze for a min play for 5 then freeze play for 5

 

nero media 4 tried simple center the same thing

 

I use the ps3 media server, and have not had any problems.
