Wireless WRT54GS v7.2 in client mode?

    Hi, I've been trying to get my linksys WRT54GS into client mode, i've seen various firmware upgrades but none of them are for version 7.2 which is what mine is. Can I use dd-wrt or openwrt even though i have a different version than the supported ones? (or how can i get it to client mode) Thanks.

    I use Tomato firmware on a WRT54GL, have a look through their pages and see if they offer what you need.
