I'm in the planning stages for wiring my house and I'd like to know how many data cables to run to each room and also how many coax cables to run. Would love some feedback

    Cheers

And if you can afford it, one multimode optical fiber pair (plenum rated).

pre plan by what is going to end up in each room and work backwards. There is no way for any of us to know what you need because only you know what is going in each room.

I think his goal is to be able to put whatever he wants wherever he want in each room. With this in mind, I would recomend two cat-6 (cat-5e will do for now, but cat-6 will not cost much more to buy, and will cost nothing more to run...and you will be ready for 10k networking once the components get cheaper) and two RG-6 for each room, placed on oposite sides of the room. This will allow you to re-arrange furnature without having any cables spread across the floor.
