wma licences

    recently i updated to xp and new hard drive i copied my wma music files from my old hard drive.when i try to play i get the no licence error. i realise now i should have transferred the drm files but my old hard drive which is now dead.is their any way i can play my music files,just play them i don't need to burn,(all music i took directly from cd using media player 6) anyone help! pat

    If the files were ripped from a CD you own then it's worth re-ripping the CD again for two reasons. 1) MP3 is a better format than WMA and 2) Windows Media Player is not very good at ripping CD's.

    Use a program called Exact Audio Copy (EAC for short) to rip your CD's. Use this guide to get started = http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/mydeneaclame.cfm
