I am trying to open a WMV file and whenever I try to open it the screen suddenly goes black and then the computer then switches into safe mode (I assume safe mode - big blocky text and blocky graphics) And I get this message "The ialmrnt5 display driver has stopped working normally. Save yourwork and reboot the system to restore full display functionality. "
I am currently running Win XP, 1.69GHz, 640mb RAM, quiet an old computer, a bit slow, with a monitor running at about 1024x768.
Now, the WMV file was originally a HD quality video we shot. So could it be that my computer simply cant handle it or could the file be corrupt somehow?

First update your display driver and/or make sure that it is current.

This is what has fixed this problem for others.
