Im having troble converting wmv files into avi files. Could someone please help explain the process and tell me exactly what I should be downloading and what it should look like. Thanks
It depends what kind of program you are using to convert and the best program I have been using is Xilisoft Video Converter, which is very easy to use. You can try it has free trail so you can give it a try & good luck. Xilisoft Video Converter http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/xilisoft_video_converter.cfm Download from this link if you dont find the new version in afterdawn page: http://www.xilisoft.com/video-converter.html There is another software converter if you would like to try again it has free trail WinAvi: http://www.winavi.com/en/video-converter/video-converter.htm
I down loaded WinAvi and The other software you suggested and they both say "Unable to read the dictionary of the application or extension because it is not scriptable" What does this mean. I have been tring to convert these files for two days and I still havent figured it out yet. Please help. Thanks
Can you tell me in what language the files/movies names are? if its not in english letters then i have feeling as you mentioned a dictionary I think its a language matter because I had similar problem before when tried to convert some files were named not in english letters and I realized that if the files name I try to convert are e.g arabic language letters or any other language sometimes the converter can not read or support therefor they have to be named in english letters or numbers that converter can read---> so what I do is just rename the file(movie) to english language letters or numbers as you prefer then convert. Let me know please?
Im not even getting that far mr. bone. I download the software. It goes straight to my desktop, and I try to open the file. The file doesnt come up. It tells me that the file needs to be scripted. I dont understand what is going on. I have downloaded about 5 different software's and they all say the same things. But I have opened one WinAvi file and it is not in english. And this is what it says MZê <caron><caron>
