    i'm a bit slow due to the heat (i know heat in the UK - must be an illusion!) - i think i know WHO you're on about there kivory666 !!, lmao

    LOL creaky~ u are a psychic in my book~ :)

    pretty hot over here in California too~ felt like close to 100 degrees yesterday, slightly cooler today, but, the heat gets to me too...makes me even MORE annoyed than i previously was~ LOL :p

    I of course concur with your media choices and I for one as you know prefer the +r format booktyped dvd-rom. Here's a good read. http://www.cdfreaks.com/article/113

    Dave it's possible your dvdrw just doesn't like crapola memorex media. What is your current firmware? The most current is 3.04 or you can crossflash to 1.F3 mad dog f/w to make your drive capable of booktyping dvd+r media to dvd-rom (do this at your own risk).     Let ME tell you about HOT. Been in the upper 90's last couple days here (Kansas, USA) and already had a few days in lower 100's. Hot summers, cold winters, why do I live here?
