No problem Tony it just the fact that they have changed four times today and all the codes been posted was leading to confusion, suffice to say they are the latest ones, lets hope they dont change again :)

Yep can be a pain alright. Why not just update the firmware and it will auto update the keys for you?

All the info you need can be found here Tony :)

You will need a null modem cable DB9F to DB9F

    Like this one

    Null modem info here

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=L71BT&DOY=2m6

Make sure your USB adapter is a USB to serial port adapter similar to this one.

    USB Adapter info here

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Modu...erial Adaptor

These two cable links are only for reference as they can be purchased alot cheaper on fleabay.

All firmware/loader can be found in the link at the end of my post marked Eamos FTA Library.

You will need the GTromloader, (Starview Software Uploader), found in the Starview folder of the link.

You will need version 2.57 fixed for a CLONE box

You will need version 4.oo for a GENUINE box.

Both of these can be found in the Starview Firmware Folder of the link.

To help you decide which type of box you have click on the link at the end of my post marked SV EV Info, then click on clones, this will help you figure out what you have.

And please download the Starview PDF guide this will give you step by step instructions on how to do everything. This can be found in the Starview Documentation folder in the link.

    00- 3B-BE-CE-6D-F4-73-4A-4B
    01- CB-D6-3B-B6-17-F3-41-98

However I do recommend updating your firmware as per the above instruction, this is the fifth time they have changed today.

Why do you have to sort your channels out when a code change happens , you dont need to do a factory settting or a new scan , just change the key data codes and save them and you will still have all your channels in order

look at the end of scousers post, the links are there on how to do it and the software

All people have to do is load their boxs with the correct software and thats it, no more looking for codes. Its simple to do and once done, sit back and relax.

Every one has access to the internet and PC, so there is no excuse for not doing it. We all know someone in this day and age who are computer literate, that if you cant do it yourself some one can. I dont know if its people are afraid to do it or laziness. The CC's are going to be doing this ongoing, just look at the last few days.
