well, sorry if i wasted any of your time, but it seems there are many on this forum who recommend intel or nvdia products, anyway...to be really precise there are many people that think the way i do.
the reason the members recommend intel/nvidia is because those two companies are producing the best products at this time, and some members are using it themselves. if you want your system to perform at the top, then take their advice. yeah, there are people like you, who stick to certain companies, but the members here at aD are open to all companies. if you're going to stick with the companies you like, then take their best products and build a system (don't be suprised if the best motherboard uses a intel socket or is SLi certified). if you like it, then stick with it, but if you don't, then you have yourself to blame on the build.
That's right, we recommend them, but we don't exclusively recommend them. Just because we suggest something from a certain brand doesn't mean we refuse to support the other brand. Hard to understand isn't it?
The final thing im going to say i guess, is, that ultimately, I can choose whatever brands I feel comfortable with, you see, Ive been loyal to amd, etc, for awhile, and have never had any problems with them [any problems i had were soley my fault] so...i feel that I am not dumb to stick to certain brands all my life, and never switch over to something that might be compatible with the macOS... Lastly, i am happy that you guys are trying to save me money, but honestly, ive tried alot of itel products, where i used to work, years ago and always felt happier on an amd machine. So if i loose a tiny bit of money i dont really care...
I can only offer this advice, I have an AMD chip in my PC and I run small servers for online FPS games, when I noticed my server was suffering from poor performance I asked every admin and mod I know and I was informed that for running my dedicated servers AMD products were well known for having issues running dedicated servers (for VALVe games) and intel was significantly more stable, that was the first time I realised my AMD wasn't as great as it's "talked up" to be. My point is that my AMD seemed fine at first but failed to help me in many online hosting situations resulting in very poor performance, if I go to my brothers PC (using single intel chip) and set up a server it runs MUCH smoother and much more stable I assure you, and he has an intel P4 3.6 ghz, I have an AMD 3500+ 2.2 ghz chip.Almost identical PC's with different brands (even our graphics, power and HDD are alike), and his is intel and his is frustratingly performing better than mine. Food for thought (I know it was for me)
Yeah I see what you mean and I was thinking the same thing at first, but no over the past year I have tried everything, different drivers, checked the BIOS everything is as it should be, checked to see if there was faulty hardware, tried killing every non essential service XP has (very carefully with video assistance)etc etc, but it all comes down to the fact, we have the same amount of ddr ram, same size and RPM HDD, pretty much the same processors (technically) and his PC handles the same apps faster, smoother and more stable than mine, and his PC is 2 years older than mine, the only real difference between the two now is that we have "equal" GPU's except his is AGP and mine is only PCI . That is a huge difference now (in gameplay, but the servers seem the same) but even before when we both had onboard graphics running (also strangely equal to each other in power) his dedicated server is far smoother and far more stable than mine is, and all I ever hear is AMD is notorious for glitchy source servers (srcds) compared to intel, and that's the exact difference between our servers. Both of our PC's are clean and tidy updated to the max and very well protected so I know it was an even battle between the two in the server tests and mine lost (if anything my PC is well maintained compared to his), we always use his server, even in desperation my PC buddy helped me try rolling back drivers to older ones, no real change if anything less stable than before. So to the OP, try to keep an open mind when hardware shopping and see what you like instead of choosing a company before you even get there, you are the buyer so why care if someone does try to push intel on you, you are the decision maker here no matter what so why not make yourself the better decision maker by approaching this open minded. I know after using both AMD and Intel, single and dual core personally, when I finally build my PC I am changing to intel because in my own tests, Intel performed better hands down so I'm an official AMD user ready to switch to Intel.
guys how the hell to i get back to google classic???Oh my Fudge this is pissing me off, what are they thinking...please someone tell me how to get the old ''images, i google'' etc... back to where it was on the page...you know what im talking about right/ cuz when i ping google.ca i get this new sh.t that i hate
Now on that one I agree with you, that annoys the living hell out of me. Suppose you could make your own homepage on your network and put a modified google script in it.
Good Point. Soooo....are we all supposed to roll over and play dead and just accept this new world order google desision or are we going to do something about it, come on, where is zero-cool when you need him.
