AFAIK there is no spyware/adware in dvd decrypter, dvd shrink, or most burning/authoring programs. If your really worried, download spybot search and destroy and adaware se and run those.
You more likely to get adware etc from p2p apps like kazza or visiting "dodgy" websites so it pays to do a scan every now and then anyway

    No Ad-Aware here http://www.noadware.net/?hop=truval3
    SpyBot S&D here http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html

A-squared a particular favourite of mine here http://www.emsisoft.com/en/

Don't forget Spybot S&D creates dummy malware to fool the senders of such crap! This also fools the other two who eat the dummies. S&D also creates it own none existant DSO Exploits which should be ignored. I only use it when Ad-Aware can't get rid of something, or as an extra check

Best of luck and regards Mike/Gringle
(edit) PS all these are freeware ;-)

Pulsar I've had it installed for the past few months, It came highly recommended from a small msm help site, I've run it from time to time, I used it in anger (So to speak) for the first time last week. It truly is very impressive.

    regards mike/gringle
