Wot is error 21?

    every time i try & get 2 the original MS dashboard i get error 21.
    i get it when i select MS dashboard on evox & when i turn my chip off?

    i have got the
    xboxdash.xbe file again so i know it isnt that so can any 1 help plz

    something is named wrong in your evox.ini file
    i take it you get the green screen with service xbox ect... in about 5 languages
    what chip have you got? and can you paste you evox.ini file so it can be checked then me or others will be able to help you :)

    ok i take it you have another hdd but can you tell me what chip you have please?
    i know it's got something with renaming

    & i got the original hardrive not any other

    don't suppose you backed up your original c drive files did you?
    my brother had this problem and we had to use the slayers auto installer 2.5 to format his hdd and reinstall evox and all the apps again
    also make sure you have
    msdash.xbe
    and evoxdash.xbe on your c drive aswell

    i didnt back it up.

    i have slayer 2.5 but i dnt no wot opsion 2 choice.

    do i select 4) rebuild retaol hd on v1.x system or
    5) inst/upg XBMP, MSDASH, Apps & evox

    i think you should give it a go with install upgrade first because that will overwrite what files you have and install the ones you should have if that don't work then i reckon a clean format and install on retail hdd you can't go wrong with the first one try and see

    i just read the info file & it said if i you r getting errors format.
    where do i find my save & audio files on the hard drive?

    your save and audio files are in your e: drive its usually around 5 gig you need to back up

    do i copy every thing in e:/ or do i only copy sum stuff?

    0 - any - No error (duh)

    1 - bootldr - Unknown exactly, something to do with checking the motherboard

    2 - bootldr - Eeprom check failed

    3 - bootldr - ??/not used

    4 - bootldr - Ram check failed

    5 - kernel - HDD not locked (retail bioses require the hd to be locked)

    6 - kernel - Cannot unlock HDD

    7 - kernel - HDD timeout

    8 - kernel - No HDD found

    9 - kernel - HDD parameters (PIO/DMA/or size {debug}, certain size minimum is required for debug)

    10 - kernel - DVD timeout

    11 - kernel - No DVD Founnd

    12 - kernel - DVD parameters (PIO/DMA)

    13 - kernel - Dashboard launch fail (due to missing/bad key, or anything else that would prevent it from running) and the dashboard didn't specify why it failed.

    14 - dashboard - Error loading dashboard (dashboard generic error)

    15 - - ??/not used

    16 - dashboard - Other files to do with dashboard / dashboard settings (specific dashboard error)

    17 - - ??/not used

    18 - - ??/not used

    19 - - ??/not used

    20 - kernel - The dashboard was attempted to load and failed; It was a cold boot, and the dashboard didn't specify why it failed, but it (for some reason) needed to be noted that the dvd passed the challenge/response authentication

    21 - anywhere - This error says that the machine was booted to display a error, basically someone told the machine to reboot (or launch a xbe) with this flag, and the error code just means its been rebooted by the flag
