I still don't think it is worth it. If you already have a burner, why waste the extra money? Aviator is already part of the 3 for $25 movies and it's still pretty new. DL discs cost about as much as that, so why do it? I have a DL burner, but only because I got mine recently. I would not upgrade to DL if I had a good burner that burned at 4x. If your burner is about to die out or burning discs that are getting tons of write errors, then go ahead and get the DL, but if your burner is working fine, you will just be wasting Money. Also, there seems to be some issues with DL discs with DVD players. What if you spend $100 for a burner and $20 for a 3 pack of DL discs and find out that your player won't play back the movies? Also, if the burner is $100 and the discs are about $6.50 each you will have to burn about 50 movies before the burner pays for itself (about 25 for $4.50 a disc). You have to also remember that the eye has its limits with visual quality. The only way you will actually catch flaws in a compressed movie, is if you are too close to the screen or you are looking for the flaws. I can easily find problems in HD broadcasts if I look for them. As long as you do not zoom into movies or take a 4:3 movie and stretch it to 16:9 and then resize it with your tv to fit the screen you will not notice a difference, unless if you have a bad TV and Bad DVD player.
