Hey all, I have had some problem witing after backing up a couple of dvd's and was wondering if it is my burner or a different problem? I have been having trouble reading new blank DVD's also. I have included the log files from Rambo 3 and Monte Python and the Holy Grail disc 2 (disc one burned fine). Any help from the experts here would be appreciated!

Incd is runing on your system and for the most part not good to be there. Some people do however like to use it.

I am more drawn to your burner. What is it? From looking at the version of the firmware I suspect it is liteon or aopen or something. Know what it is exactly and check if there is newer firmware for it. If it is the one I suspect, there is newer firmware.

    Hi there,

As mentioned above, get rid of [bold]InCD[/bold].

You using lots of your memory, try to free some up.
*OR* slow down the burn to x2.0 and see if it helps !

But get rid of this crap InCD :)

Thanks a lot! I thought I had INCD removed already. I will dive into that further. I don't remember the name of the burner right off hand but I got it for Christmas last year. It was ordered from NewEgg. I will do a firmware upgrade check also.

    Thanks again for your help!

Lately, I've seen a lot of failure/failed burns from Ritek. So maybe you may want to try other high quality like Yuden, Verbatim and Maxell (Hitachi - made in japan).

Your burner doesn't like the media you're using. Make sure burner's firmware is up to date. Again, see above reply for other high quality media.

InCD and Nero don't get along well, so you'll need to completely wipe out InCD from your system. Go here http://www.nero.com/nero6/enu/InCD_CleanTool.html and get InCD to clean all of its products from your system.

It figures, I just bought 100 Ritek 8x DVD's. I removed the rest of InCD and then my DVD drive could not be found. Yeah. I Do not know the Brand of DVD drive (AO60 firmware), it didn't come with any manual or anything, just NERO software that I remember. I am still searching for another disc though that would have the drivers on it. I did a restore to get the settings back and now I am running out of time as usual. That darn thing called WORK always seems to get in the way of things!
I will try the the removal tools later and see how that works. I can always give out nice shiny coaster sets for Christmas!
