I recently purchased a SOny DRU-710A and it has worked fine until about a week ago. First thing is to edit your last post and remove your Nero serial number. You don't want to give that out. Looking at the log I see that DMA setting is off for your Sony drive. Go into your device manager, go to the IDE channels and reset them to DMA if available. If they won't stay on DMA, remove them from the list, re-boot and Windows will re-install them with DMA on.
