I bought some black coloured cd-r's and am looking for a marker capable of writing on it (and showing up). I've tried several different coloured CD markers but they all look the same when writing on it. Is there a fluorescent or brand name marker I could use? Thanks for the help.

Pentel manufactures "paint markers" that show up on black background, they use oil based paint. However, I've tried them once on pressed CDs, and they made a hole in the data layer ! Anyway, they dissolve quite any kind of plastic you write on. I tried to remove it from a CD case, and after using copper-polish liquid, it went out, but what I draw was left engraved into the plastic.

I saw some gouache markers once (maybe Reynolds, or Stabilo) in an art shop. They should be less agressive. But try them at your own risks.
