I just need a hard drive (80gigs or up) that is already formatted in fat32 and compatible with hdloader8.b.

the maxtor 120gig that I have doesnt seem to work with my hdloader/advance. and yes ive formatted it threw winhiip, and installed it correctly but nothing seems to work.

i know this is a bit off-topic, but doesnt the ps3 also have to be formatted in fat32?

I would guess so, I don't have a PS3 (yet) but the NTFS is only compatible with NT systems and Fat16 only supports up to 4 GB

fat16 only goes to 2.1gig before partitioning as that is what dos used. i've done a single partion in a 350gig hd in fat32 with no problem. fat32 can't open a file bigger then 4gig.
