I searched around on the fourms a little and found nothing to really help me out, but anyways, I recently purchased a X-bit 1.5 solderless modchip and now I get what is known as the "christmas lights" and then just restarts. I had hard drive problems with my xbox before hand so I decided to pop in another hard drive so maybe that would fix the problem. Well, of course it gave me the 06 error code. So right now I'm lost for ideas of what to do. After playing with the mod chip a little longer I confident it was going to work when I turned it on...instead, it recieved power for about 3 seconds and shuts off and then back on. Does that a few times and finally comes on with no video and the "christmas lights". If anyone could help me with this I would be greatful.
this is because its not aligned properly, and the fact the chip is BLANK doesnt help. Once your chip is ALIGNED (led will light up) you will need to flash your BIOS as there is nothing on there. Make sure to get v1.5 Xbit software for your v1.5 xbit or flashing will not go over very well
