Hi I need help with playing x264 files on my DSM-750 (D-Link Media Center Extender). h264 plays fine but x264 wont. From what i understand the relationship is similar to DivX and Xvid which are both compatible so I dont understand why h264 plays and x264 wont....

I have tried using Tversity but it wont work on my computer for some reason...I think i have all the correct codecs (Vista Codec Pack) plus Tversity has its own codecs...

when I launch Tversity on the DSM-750 any video file I try to open comes back as unsupported format..

I think right now the best thing would be to convert the x264 to h264...
Its very frustrating as all high def video available is x264 encoded.....

what I forgot to say is I cant find a program to convert x264 to h264. I tried a few and the best result converted but took a while and didnt keep the AC3 audio but changed it to 2 channel. Nomatter what I tried the 2 channel audio remained...

    Any suggestions...?
