So I have been searching the net and can not find a single thing on how to get around Starforce which is included in X3. I was wondering if anyone here knew of a way without having to change registry files... Just so you know I have the image and I have installed the game by mounting it through Alcohol...no problems there. But when I get to launching the game it just checks the CD and then says error. PS: I have a valid CD Key once I get past this stupid Starforce crap. Any help would be great!
I believe it still requires the disabling of optical drives. Try StarForce Nightmare or whatever it is called. Personally I wouldn't bother with a starforce game. My system can do without that crap. Also don't blame me if your system crashes. Apparently moving all optical drives to a PCI IDE controller also works.
