Hey, I've looked around and I cant find the directions anywhere for installing the X.B.I.T. on the 1.6 xbox. Mod-chip.com has a tutorial but its not for 1.6's, just up through 1.5 Any help is appreciated if anyone knows where I can find them?? Also, am I going to HAVE to solder?

Thanks guys, "you make the world go round!"

Yes, You have to solder. For a v1.6 xbox, you need to solder to restore the LPC for the xbit to work. The easiest way is to buy a LPC rebuild board and solder those five points on the back of your motherboard. After that, installing xbit on thev1.6 is pretty much the same as installing it on a v1.5 xbox.

I dont get what your saying I have to solder. The LPC points are already open...?

Also, could I just put this in my xbox 1.0 and put my SOLDERLESS CHAMELEON into his instead?

On a v1.6, the LPC port is not connected like previous versions. You have to solder to rebuild the LPC port. So, yes, you have to solder to rebuild the LPC port. Unless you use some chip that does not require LPC port rebuild.

That is a surprising news. Has anyone seen a solderless adapter for 1.6 xbox? I saw one from Xenium but it's not released yet.

boscoroll, I can e-mail you the pics on how to install the adapter if you need them. I also have pics of the LPC rebuild, which you must do also. If you do find the pics on the adapter install, 2 of the wires need to be switched, or it won't work. Took me awhile to figure that out, cause the pics on the DMS X-bit website were wrong, and haven't been corrected.
