No you can not. The add-on utilises the processing power of the 360 to display the picture. Because your laptop may not be configured like a console, it won't work.
You can get the 360 HD DVD add on to work on an XP PC or laptop as long as you have the correct drivers and player software. Just connect it to a USB 2.0 port.
