Hi, I am looking to set up my own home theatre system. I think I am ready to go out and buy my tv tuner but I wanna check with people that know first. Write now I have digital cable, no PVR. I also have an xbox 360 and windows media center. It looks like it is possible to simply buy the HAUPPAUGE WinTV PVR-500 (2 tv-tuners in one) and hook the Digital cable directly up to my PC. The xbox 360 can connect to my pc directly from thru my home network and it runs windows media center from my pc. I know it is very confusing and complicated, but it seems like it will work. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks! Steven
After researching for a while it seems that I will also need to buy/download dvd decoders. I am still uncertain about which tv-tuner to get. I really want to get great picture quality.
