i recently tried to softmod my xbox using xboxhdm v1.9. it seemed to work fine. but when i went to power on my xbox it came to the error screen saying error 13. so then i opened the hard drive using xplorer360 and it only showed partitions 0-3. partition 4 was missing completely. i tried using xboxhdm again and when it was searching to format the partition tables it just aborted instead of asking yes or no to rebuild the hdd.i dont have the eeprom and tried to ftp but that wont work either. is this fixable or am i scewed. please help me if you can. thanks in advance.
thank you. i have followed your guide before but i tried it again and when i did step one to try and build an hd from scratch it says: "we will now search /dev/hda for an xbox partition table... no xbox partition table found on /dev/hda. drive is not locked but locking is enabled. dont reboot untill you have a working xbox hdd since rebooting will relock the drive. press any key to abort the operation..." and it just stays at this screen untill you press enter. i also found my eeprom.bin by searching whats left of my hdd with xplorer360. im not sure why xboxhdm isnt working.
help now i got a dead hdd error 7. pretty sure im fucked, gonna have to buy a new hdd. might just sell the dead xbox
Yeah, that was the error in the first place I'd say! Just make sure that it's plugged in correctly though...
ye but the hdd is making a clicking sound when it powers on so that means it is dead right? and its not worth a new hdd so ill try and sell the parts and wait for mods for the 360.
