XBOX FLASHES RED AND GREEN AND SHOW NO VIDEO

Hey, I got the same problem. Xbox has been working fine for the past 2 months and suddenly starts going nuts. I got it profesionly installed and like I said, it has been working great. I was playing today, shut it down to go for supper, come back and it wouldn't boot up. I checked inside thinking it could have been loose ide cables etc but nothing has worked. I'm thinking something has to have gotten loose but if that is the case, I am definatly not cable of sauldering things and finding out which cable could be loose. This is One of the most common problems with Flashing a modchip. It usually happens when you try to reflash it. There are several ways to fix it. If you have a Xecuter 2.X you can buy the programmer and reflash it every time it messes up. But Other modchips like the Duo or Aladdin require you to do something else. I would tell you how to fix it but I forgot how to do it since I haven't had that problem in Years. I am going to look through the tutorials you guys should too. This problems happen more frequently with those auto installers that people use.

 

Inrdmons - I was having the same problem and I found out why. I installed the chip myself using the instructions Xecuter provided on their page. Those are the instructions everyone followed who installed one.

Well, it turns out Xecuter had an important step missing from their instructions for about the first 2 months they were available. They have since added this step.

There is a metal piece that comes off the chip that is needed if you do a wire rebuild on your xbox. It is silver and L shaped. You would only need to use it if you had a verson 1.6 xbox. If not, this metal piece needed to be taped up with electrical tape. Without the tape, if this metal piece touched any other metal on your motherboard, it would slowly but eventually short out your ship. This is what happened to mine.

I eventually figured it out when I saw a burnt circuit raised and blackened on my Xecuter chip. I soldered that circuit back down, and put some electrical tape on that metal piece I mentioned, and now it works great again.

ok, I opened everything up again, lifted the chip out from the board and I think I found the L shaped thing you were talking about. You are saying that if I put some elec tape around that, it should work again? I will try it. Another thing, I noticed a white switched on the bottom of the chip, what exactly does this do. I am assuming it shuts your chip off and if so, should I do this and see if my Xbox turns on after doing so or should I leave it alone? Like I said, I have not sauldered anything since high school and would not attempt to do so myself. I have the option of going back to the compufest or whatever I went to in Toronto again in March. I am hoping the company who did it for me could maybe fix it, but I would rather not have to wait 2 months with a broken machine.

 

i have just installed a xecutor 2.6 and all it does is boot boot boot and flash flash flash its really srartin to annoy it does the same proplems as all urs with the red and green so someone plz tell me wot the heck is happenin!!!!!!!!!!!!! :'( and i followed all the instructions right for my 1.1

And you should definitely visit there site because your mod is not connected properly if your are getting a flashing red and green light, also known as FRAG.

ok now i ave really muphed it up i tried to solder the d0 wire to the top to se ne diffrence and i must ave muffed the mother board coz now i turn it on with the chip unabled the same thing happens as wen the chip is on .... the flashin red and the booting 3 times
