Xbox Hard drive

I want to know how and u need to put a hard drive into the xbox i know u need a new hard drive but what eske you need some peolpe say you need a mod chip to and some say you don't need 1 and what program u need to get started and where u get them from

I Dont know but someone i know has a xbox but no md chip just a harddrive and it copy's and burns and saves cds to the xbox how

 

He probably has a softmod.

Its a software exploit which allows backups to be played.
