monkeys that looks nice! it would look even more awesome if you added another fan to the other side to make it symmetrical - or just a plastic look-alike for eye-candy ;) lol btw how did you manage to extend the width of the box but still keeping the little vent-like indent lines of the case go all the way? i'm assuming you took this from another xbox case =P?

Thanks. I was planning on adding another fan but I dont know if the stock xbox power will handle it I will see. The thing on the side was actually a external fan from ebay I bought and I gutted it. Just look on ebay for a xbox fan.

Haha coolio thing is I don't have an ebay account nor am I gonna get one anytime soon. I went to ebay and saw knightdiscounts - kinda cool =P the buttons on the front are different - how did you manage to do that, as the buttons are in different positions? Or maybe it's a different version? Anyways keep up the awesome work I'm having a heck of a good time following your projects. Hopefully I'll be modding my box as well with your howto in hand =D. I'm going to a bunch of Asian countries in August, including Hong Kong - do you think I'll find much of what I'll need there? I'm not talking about the stuff I can just get at circuit city, but like the whole Xtender thing? Chips I'll check out, but I probably won't buy - I'm running softmods and it's perfectly fine with me.

Well I covered the original holes with electrical tape for now and drilled new ones for the leds and switch. If you use the original holes the hard drives will have a hard time fitting. This was a pretty easy project for me just took time to get it all together. I didnt start out with a plan thats the problem. For now I am done with my xbox but that probably wont last long.

Not trying to rush, but how's the how-to coming along? (how's the how-to...ahaha...) I'm just really excited. I might get the X-tender instead, but I love reading guides. It's my first time doing this kind of stuff, and my mom doesn't trust me with a soldering iron...lol. Xbox goes boom. Thing is as well I'm going away in less than a week so I probably won't be able to do anything until after August. Still waiting anxiously for my Maxtor 160 gig to arrive =D Looking forward to any more feasts for the eyes.

I know that if your gonna play halo2 then they dont ban you right away. even if they detect ur illegal stuff they watch you for a while b4 then ban you. SOURCE- bungie.com

anyway if u only want maps and updates and not to actually play on xbox live, modders always release packs that u can DL to the HDD and install.

Alright that's awesome. My drive came today, and I can't wait to be oriented with my first time EVER modding anything electronic. Really looking forward to it.
