xbox mod with wd ata 66 20 gb

    I have noticed that all the instructions I have seen for modding the xbox
    with a larger hard drive require:

    a) A brand new hard drive
    b) ata 100

    I have a wd ata 66 20 gig out of a dead computer, can I reformat it and use
    it in my xbox with a mod chip.

    Must I use a specific hard drive?

    Must it be new, or can i prepare a used drive?

    Thanks to the forums at xbox-scene, and #xbins-help channel on efnet, I was able to find out that..

    most any hard drive will work with a modded xbox..using slayers autoinstaller.

    If anyone else is having problems getting questions answered here, i would recommend the above mentioned sites,
