yes more or less while the chip is off the board otherwise if they are compressed inward you wont be able to make contact on the needed points.

    A few questions:

I recently received the Xecuter Plus Lite 2.2, and I'm having the same green light problem, but I have a couple questions about the proposed solutions:

    1) What is the d0 point? I can see absolutely no labels that indicate anything as being "d0". Are there diagrams available or something?

    2) What does it mean to "scrap(e)?" this point?

    3) Is it true that the green light only appears when the mod chip is disabled, and is it supposed to appear permanently or only for a brief second? I'm able to get it on for a second when my mod chip is disabled, but no more.

    4) Since the online instructions I read were unclear, what am I supposed to see if I boot the Xbox properly with my mod chip enabled? Is it supposed to go to the usual dashboard, or some other screen?

    Thanks!

At least your having better luck then me. You need a diagram really to find the d0 point. As far as when you boot up your supposed to see xecuter under the xbox logo.

its on diagrams you find on the net
    eg [IMG]
exactly what it says. scrape the point to get a better contact. i used a very sharp pen knife and put it in the d0 point and rotated it.
yes, it only appears for a bit when its disabled. So yours should be working.

you'll see normal Xbox logo, but instead of microsoftt written underneat, "Xecuter" is written.
Then it will ask for a bios CD

I had the same problem as you guys so i the followingused the foil method and chip has been working perfectly.

Well i figured out my problem. My chip is screwed up or something. It wont work because the wrong pin touches and d0 point and i cant get the right pin to touch it.

I've got the same problem - I've installed the Xecutor 2.2 Lite + and all I get is a blank screen and the DVD drive will not eject. I can't find the diagnostics page at the console corner.

I too had that problem but the way to fix it was to disable the chip and leave the M$ Dashboard to come on then leave it about 30 seconds and turn the Xbox off. Next enable the chip and turn it back on the Cromwell Screen should come on!

I have the same problem. I tried disabling and it started up normally. I left it on for 2 min. and turned it off, switched to "enable" and I still a get a blank screen. Could it be the chip? I have two blue lights on the chip and the blue light on the switch part is also on.
    Thanks.

Thanks bobsickl! That worked for me... I turned on my xbox and went to the M$ DAshboard and left it on for 30 sec. or so, turned it off then enabled my Xecutor chip and turned it on again and the DVD drive ejected - put in my Bios update CDRW and I'm in business...

How reliable of an indicator are the lights on either chips? In "disable" mode, I get 2 blues and one green and the xbox boots up normally. I wait for a while, shut down, and switch to "enable". Then I get 2 blues on the chip(green is off) and one blue on the switch piece. I thought this combination of lights meant it was aligned and ready to go? All I get is a blank screen, no eject on the cd drive, and a blinking green eject botton in front.

I have contacted the company I bought the chip from and I'm sending it back for a replacement. I noticed that the xbox doesn't load normally without the chip installed. Is that supposed to happen? Has the xbox been altered by installing the chip?

I'm having trouble getting this chip to work. everything is lined up the blue lights are on and LED4 blinks green for one second. but i'm getting a black screen and the dvd drive won't open. I've tried disabling the chip booting into the MS Dash wait 30secs and then rebooting with the chip enabled still the same black screen.
