ok, Xbox 1.0, Xecuter 2.2 pro. Wires soldered, and all appear well done. The mod chip is low on the tin side wall to aviod interference.

When I turn on the machine the front blue LED flashes once, and the Inside 2 flash once. If i turn the chip off, just the inside leds flash once.

Both times the fan makes a half turn, and the machine doesn't really start.

Any ideas? I have not flashed bios or anything.

When I disconnect the mod chip, the X powers up and plays nice. So I tested all the black wires (dip switches - mod), and they look good. Then I tested the colored wires (board - mod) with good connections.

Once I plug the mod chip in, and hit the power, the blue led flash occurs followed by no powerup (mod turned on or off)

Maybe when you were soldering you had 2 wires touching. Perhaps there might have been some solder touching another point around it? This happend to me once, and I saw that 2 wires were touching..easy fix..

It sure looks good. I can't think of anything else to test. Anyone know how to test for a faulty Mod chip?

I took the chip out today and tested the connection from the wire-harness to the back of the board. Good connections. No boot. Sad Boy.
