Im planning on buying an xecuter2.6 chip for my xbox ver.1.6 and i noticed that on modchipman.com's web site it clearly states that the chip does not have the cromwell flash that it needs to work on the 1.6 xboxes. if i find the cromwell bios can i update it with a cd or do i need to buy a programer?
If you're looking at their 2.6 solderless, you don't want that. The regular 2.6 will work fine for you. It is cheaper and 1.6/1.6b compatible: http://www.modchipman.com/product_info.php?products_id=120
