Help! i installed the chip in my version 1.6b, and the light is blue on the front when i turn it on, good, but then it turns off turns on, etc. then it stays on, but the fan kicks into overdrive and then i cant turn off the xbox. I cant even boot the regular M$ dash, and my soldering was bad the first time because my grandpa said he could do it, but his eyes suck so he missed stuff, and i went and fixed it, but im thinking he fried stuff, which is why i cant boot M$ dash, i know the soldering is perfect now, The chip is xecuter 3 CE
there could be a lot of things that go wrong when you try soldering in a chip. Want to know if something is fried then remove the chip and softmod the xbox. If it works then nothing is fried. Teammodders.com may be able to help you fix it.
