    Hello all.

I have been trying to format my NEW/ long time unused hard drive.
But the problem simply is that it keeps on repeating the format process.

It will be in "Setup is Formatting" and finish then start all over again like it never happend and will ask me to do the whole "F8" thing again.

And pretty much take me through the entire process again.
I have tried to Repair. But no luck either.

    Anyhelp/ suggesitons.
    Thanks Everyone.

The drive may have corrupt sectors in it. You could try a low level format with the diagnostic software from the manufacturer, or use a program like Drive Scrubber. These methods will erase the entire drive...partitions, MBRs and all.

All drive manufacturer's have a diagnostic disk you can download and run. They are in floppy and CD ISO format. You can use those to do a low level format of the drive.
