    Hi

Aren't you basically just taking out the XBox hardware and replacing it with PC hardware? I mean it has already been shown that the HDs and DVD readers are interchangable, so all that is left is the motherboard and processor....

I'm not being an idiot, I am just trying to get the whole picture here.

I agree with you.XP should run fine.
Here is my PC at home:
    Pentium 2.4 Abit mother board
    Nvidia 128 megs video card.
    2 Maxtor hd 80/120 gig
    Plextor DVD writer/Benq DVD9 writer
    512 meg(should have upgraded to 1gig)
    XP pro installed.
and my sons thought my PC is slow.
Xp to Xbox where there's no room for upgrade.
    WHY?

Lol what a joke. If your gonna do all that why not have Xp on a shoe box?? All your doing is gutting a xbox and putting a pc in it. And also dont you lose your capability to play xbox games by doing this? People do some strange things when they are bored I guess.

duh...ok... the reason why I purchased an xbox is to play games and games only, along with modding the xbox for the fun of it.

But, come on, XP on xbox? WHY? WHY? and WHY?

    get a damn PC dude

Tell you guys what... Let me see if I can turn my xbox in a microwave oven, maybe I can heat up some tv dinners why I wait for the game to load? sounds good eh?

    cheers

even if it did run (which I don't at this time feel is probable) it wouldn't run very stable seeing as XP at bare minimum needs 64meg of RAM. Sure the xbox has 64Meg of RAM,but you forget that the RAM is shared with the video. So the actual amout of RAM availible is ab out 48meg....which isn't even the minimum XP needs. Now,you could do the RAM upgrade to 128meg......but the xbox will still be flagged to only see 64 meg of that. How do you plan on removing the 64meg flags from the bios? For that matter, where is this miracle bios that you would use to begine with?

Too many questions, not enough actions........END OF LINE.
