XP problem plz help

    Hi,

    When i click run in my start-up menu, it says "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." It also says the same thing when I press ctrl-alt-delete. I'm in a bind here, plz help if you can! And i'm the administrator!

    Is this a new problem?
    Run an anti/virus/spyware/malware program. it seems that you were infected with a virus/crapware thing.

    Thanks. I ran a spyware check and it found some stuff. Fixed it and now everythings back to normal.

    Is your firewall up? If not , ZoneAlarm is a very good free one.
