My problem is very basic. I would like to upgrade to XP SP3. I find it easier just to reformat my hard drive. So i was thinking of slipstreaming SP3 into an existing SP2 CD. Then i found that microsoft were linking to iso that contained SP3.

    My problem:

Firstly im not sure whether to get retail, VOL, or the other (if there was another)

My Prdouct - ID ( think it would kinda stupid to give my license key) is - 55274-640-8365391-*****

    My computer is Xp Pro

    My questions:

    1) Which ISO should i download. Retail or volume or what.
    2) Does SP3 include IE7 and WMP11 or will i have to slipstream them.

you can download service pack 3 which i recommend to do be cause windows update has been messing up peoples xp installations.

No wmp11 and internet explorer 7 is not included

No no activation patches at all because service pack 3 will disable them

So just build a new disk

    it will be better
