Here I go again. Just upgraded from 2000 to XP media center. Did a clean boot.Installation went fine. Trying to install programs, but cd or dvd rom no long work. See the roms in the device manager and bios. All seam good. In the device manger it shows it is operating good. Also see the roms in my computer. Any program or music install will not work. Hate to reboot and start all over again. Help.

Have you also applied any updates for MS for the new operating system.
Maybe worth checking if this is a known problem on their web pages.

    Thanks,
Reinstalled xp media center. Found mother board driver for IDE not allowing me to use CD roms when I reinstalled mother board drivers. Works great now.

New problem. Have MSI TV@nywhere Plus TV Tuner installed. Works great.
Problem I have now is Media center does not see the tuner. Anything I can do, or are there any third party programs out there. Have x700 pro video card installed. Thanks.
