For some reason, ever since I reformatted my computer, it will not update. I did not do anything different than any other time I reformat it, it just refuses to update. An icon keeps popping up saying that I have 80+ updates I need but it wont let install anything. Windows Update wont even work. Anyone else had this problem?
had the same problem.went to microsoft support site and did some digging.its been a long time but it was something to do with reconfiguring updates or something like that.the site has a lot of info so i would keep typing searches and browsing the articles.
One thing you can do, is delete all the files/subfolders found in this folder (leave original folder intact): C:\Windows\Software Distribution That will reset Windows Update's download folder.
