i recently discovered the xvid mpeg-4 codec and it gave me great results via gknot!! but ow, 2day i tried to convert a 4:3 dvd to xvid via gknot and vdubmod gives some error on startup and just stops!! it was showing "FILM" in dvd2avi so i choose NTSC 1:1 in resolution tab in gknot (latest version) !! pls help me!! vdubmod sez "error # something, maybe corrupt data" !! but the decrypted movie plays fine !! pls help me!!

ERROR: VirtualDubMod found this Error: "Video compression error: An unknown error occurred (may be corrupt data). (error code -100)"

Hmmm...Could the preoblem be with the xvid codec?

Try encoding with the divx codec and see if that same error comes up, if not then its probably the xvid codec.
