I think this has been caused by the dvd ripper "ImTOO" as I wasnt having problems before I installed that. Any help would be hugely appreciated. You have Roxio software. Nero software conflicts with Roxio. Go download Roxio zap here http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml Also, what media are you using? It looks like your burner does not like it.
Update your Nero to this version 6.6.0.18. Here's some links: nero version 6.6.0.18 updates: Package 1 http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe Package 2 (recode & vision) http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe Let's check and see if these are genuine Taiyo Yuden's - top notch stuff. Look around the inner hub. Genuine Taiyo will have this code on them GG00xxxx (x's are # which represent the batch #). What do yours have?
when I installed that ImToo ripper program it opened a dos box and did something with "inaspi" or something like that, last time nero wouldnt copy it was something to do with corrupt aspi files, would that make any difference? I just tried a mr. dvd dvd-r after using that roxio zapper thing and it still wouldn't copy, it gets to 1% and stays there for about 1 and a half minutes before quitting to answer binkie7, I don't think they are genuine. My mr dvd discs have what looks like ifpi fw99 on the inner see through bit near the hole of the disc (i'm assuming that's the inner hub)
Don't look like Taiyo then - the GG bit would be etched in the clear part (inner hub). Good media to use: Verbatim or made in Japan Sony or Fuji. 2 aspi drivers are shown in your log and they look okay. To check though in Nero go to Toolkit>InfoTool>aspi tab. See if any show as corrupted. Update Nero to the version linked above. Take the burn speed down to 4x to see if that helps.
Just ran a simulation burn and it went through alright, hope that means it's fixed. Gonna do a real one now
