Yet another Windows Media Player thread

Hi. I used to run on WMP 9, and I had alot of problems watching movies online (primarily on http://Gametrailers.com). Pictures would be glitchy and stuff.

I made this thread: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/403677 and got a quick response, problem was quickly resolved. Now I'm starting to wonder if it's not fixed, as I'm seeing alot of problems from other posters with WMP 11.

I'll use a movie as an example (note: it's a 40MB file, may be slow): http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?id=13564&type=wmv&pl=game
Also note they sometimes make you watch an adverstisement before the actual clip.

When I try to watch this, it's like it's displayed in full screen no matter what. Since I'm not on full screen, trying to watch it in a window only shows me a section of the video. I figured this out by pausing, going to full screen, and going back to windowed. In full screen I see the complete image, but windowed I only see the portion of the full screen image that fits into my window's size.

I hope I explained it clearly enough. If not, let me know and I'll try to clarify. Another thing is that when i watch movies like this one, my volume/buttons bar found at the bottom of the movie window disappears, so to pause/change volume I have to right click the screen.


Hopefully someone else has had this problem, and if that's the case, please point me to a similar thread or share your input. I look forward to being done with this.
