    What is your job?
    What do you do?
How much do you get paid per day? per week? per month? per year? bonus?
Do you like your job? Why?
If no, what would you rather do?

Student. Paid nothing. At all. I'm pretty happy at current, enjoying most subjects although mathematics can be difficult :p

    Jay,

I have a feeling that no one is going to respond. How about you answer your questions for us first.

    I make about $5,000 a year.

i'm a full-time student, workin' part-time as a lab technician for $7.75 an hour in the research reactor at my uni. it's summer now, so i'm unemployed, though workin' on getting on a roofing job full-time for $14.50 an hour.

entering the workforce as a physics major, i'll be getting somewhere between $45 and $95 thousand a year, going up exponentially from there.

    1) I am a factory worker.

    2) We do automotive safety glass.Windshields, backlites, sidelites, rear door, sunroof, and vent quarters. Get the glass in by sheets on a crate, cut it down, wash the powder off of it,cut it,grind it,print it,and either laminate it or temper it.

My department,we temper the glass. Customers include Ford,GM,Chrsler,Honda,Toyota,Mitsubishi,BMW,Mercedez,Lexus,Nissan, and some after market manufacturers like Gates Bros.

Tempering glass? Very hot. We have robots load the glass and it goes onto ceramic rollers and through a furnace. The furnaces heat the glass up to 720 degrees centigrade, then cools down to 650 degrees centigrade-then we quench it with air. Very loud and very hot. With these temps, everything inside the furnace is stainless steel and ceramic. Regular steel would melt.

The robots are taking away a lot of the jobs.

3)18 yrs there and $18 an hr,with OT-around $45,000 a yr. I got job security, but a lot of other glass manucturers don't-especially those that only make glass for the Big 3..

    4) It's ok. Besides the heat,it's fairly easy. Everything's automated except for the visual inspecting and job changes to other tooling. There's a lot worse out there, LOL

I run websites...currently I'm making around $1000 per month after I pay for my server. I like it since I can be in school doing my studies and still earning money while a lot of the other students I know, have to go to work after class and can't find the time to study as much.

I absolutely love my job :) Over this summer I'm looking to open up a few more sites and hopefully have them going well by the end of the summer so I can be making more money while trying to get my MD of Chiropractics.

    What is your job? Paramedic
What do you do? Hopefully not kill people, lol
How much do you get paid per day? per week? per month? per year? bonus? Not nearly enough!
Do you like your job? Why? Hell no! It's inevitable that someone will call at 3am for something that has been going on for weeks, usually while it is pouring the rain/snow, and live on the top floor of an apartment building with no working elevator.
If no, what would you rather do?
    sleep

I am sorry you don't like your job... My sisters boyfriend is an EMT and is almost a paramedic. He loves it. Right now he hates the pay because it is minimum wage. He says once he is a 'paramedic' he will be paid about $31 a hour.... is that what you get. He is actually going off to Pennsylvanian for about 6 month to become a Swat medic...
