Your opinion on CPU for video editing Q6600 or Q9550

    Hi new to this I am looking at getting a PC built and wondering what type of CPU to get.Looking at quad core for video editing was going for the Q9450 but told it was discontinued so that leaves q6600 or the q9550 any ideas?

    are you planning to OC your CPU? if you are then go with Q6600 as you can reach something like 3.5ghz on air//i don't recommend that\\ i would be comfortable with 3....on the other hand if you got the money then go for Q9550...personaly i would go with the Q6600 as i would OC it up to 3Ghz and it is cheaper

    I dont know anything about oc so probably wont go that way cheers for your advise much apreciated
