Am I dreaming or is there a way to clear my PC's memory of all the data I've enterred while I was at the helm? I have Anonymizer2005 with Anonymizer Digital Shredder and Anonymizer Anti-Spyware. Names sound important enough but what exactly do these applicions do?

I'd like to give my old PC to someone but don't want anyone to have access to my old email or private files that I hae erased...but one never knows.

Why do I think I'm not the only one wanting the answer to this question?

The low level format will write 0's to all sectors, but if you are really worried about them accessing your old data, give them the computer, without the hard drive, and tell them that they need to get a new hard drive for it.

or i suppose I could buy a cheapo on ebay and swap, huh? Never been inside a PC. Scary? or could a no-experience shakky hand old man like myself be able to do it. Oh and my vision is poor.

What should i expect to pay for a HD these days. But there is no application that can do this huh?

And thanks for your quicky reply

you won't have to worry about spyware if you're reformatting, it gets deleted with everything else
