optiarc ad-7200s dvd+rw 101 a ata - is this a good burner drive to use

    i just bought a dell computer and this is the drive this has for burning dvd+r 's , is this a good reliable burner to use for backup's or should i install another one . thanks

    i am still needing help on the firmware issue , i posted a question on the firmware and it was closed due to multi-posting . i thought as long as teh question was differnt it was ok . but my question is what is the current firmware for the optiarc ad 7200s , i think i have 101a but the site offers 1.06 do i need to upgrade or is what i have fine

    ok , i just figured out that this is a oem drive that came from dell . it is a optiarc ad7200s that had firmware 101a and dell had a firmware upgrade to 102a . i had to get the firmware update from dell themselves , i guess 102a would be the current firmware . thanks
