Hi. If you want a free 1-Click solution, try Ripit4me. Gide and program links below: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/422740 Another free appraoch is explained in this guide, also with software links: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/334154 If you want to pay a little, purchase AnyDVD from Slysoft (try for 21-days free) and then use free software like DVD Decrypter, ImgBurn, and DVD Shrink. http://www.slysoft.com http://www.imgburn.com http://filehippo.com/download_dvdshrink/ http://filehippo.com/download_dvd_decrypter/ Link to Backup Guides: http://webpages.charter.net/bacitup/Guides.htm You also need to use good quality DVD media like Verbatim, Taiyo Yude, nad Made in Japan labeled Sony and Fuji disks. Also make sure your burner firmware is up to date. Firmware can be found at the manufacturers support site as well as at firmware database sites such as the following: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php Another factor is to not burn at max speed. Half or less the rated speed of the media seems to work out fairly well for most. Don't multitask during burning. Shutdown any unnecessary applications. Also keep your disk defragmented.
