Recommendations for a good provider?

I haven't used any USENET services in a couple of years.

Does anyone have recommendations for a provider they like for binary files?

I was thinking about Newshosting or Tweaknews.

It's always best to get an opinion from people who actually use it.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Problem using Alt.Binz for the first time

I have just tried using Alt.binz for the first time - using https://www.newsgroupreviews.com/alt-binz-easynews.html how ever this guide is incomplete - and when I try it on Easynews I get a padlock on the newsgroups - why is this ????? and could this be because I have not entered a username & password in settings ??

I used eurofeeds service for usenet and last December it just stopped working. No replies to emails messages. I cant find anything on the internet about its demise if that is the case?

I have downloaded and installed HelloNzb. I cannot configure HelloNzb to connect to the www.usenet-crawler server. I’ve probably got it all wrong and don’t understand how it all works.

What Host & Port do I need to type in for the usenet-crawler server under the Preferences > Server Settings tab. I put in...

My USENET account has expired I was with Astraweb. Can anyone recommend a better provider? Preferably one with long retention, decent prices and most importantly one that is not so gung ho to remove binary content.

I have heard that Tweaknews was pretty good in terms of not being quick to remove binary content but, then I heard they were just the same as everyone else.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

It seems the last few weeks most of the files (RAR, NZB, PAR, etc) I've found on usenet are bad, corrupted, cannot be extracted, etc. Is that my imagination or have others had the same experience?

I have used Newsleecher for years. My subscription is up and I haven't been very happy with it lately.

usenet in its entirety is about to fall off the face of the earth

finally the anti piracy groups who plagued us with take down notices and cease and desist notices have found usenet and all nzb sites flaw

all the servers are full of crap url codec posts, al the nzb sites rely on sabnzb or sick beard cutting down on the need for moderators and everything is filling up with fake posts

and i can forsee that it wont be long before peer to peer is...

I am currently using Astraweb and I'm having a problem with a lot of the files I want to download being removed. So now I need to find an uncensored provider. Preferably one with a built-in search feature.

I have heard that Tweaknews is good but now I have heard that they operate differently. Does anybody have a provider that they like that is uncensored? I would especially like one that offered an indexing or searching feature.

I have used and liked Astraweb for a long time. But now I have noticed that a lot of the files I want to download seem to have been removed from the server.

This kind of defeats the purpose of USENET. Can anyone recommend a different provider?

I'd be interested in something with SSL encryption, unlimited service and uncensored service.

In the past I've used nzbsrus.com and nzbmatrix.com but now I need to look for something different. I have newsleecher as my newsreader. I have always thought that their super search function was terrible. I'm looking for an alternative.

A lot of the free sites I have seen return flaky results.

Has anyone had good results paying for nzbsrus.com? Any other surgeon advice would be appreciated.

Hi ive been with usenetserver for about 7 years now, and im finding more and more that there content isnt standing up to the competetion as well anymore, newzbin seems to hit more dead links article not founds and 8080 server errors alot more now, so im leaning towards either astraweb or giganews any suggestions on who is top dog these days
