I have the same problem with subtitles, also is there a difference in resolution between
BD5 as opposed to BD9 and what is the setting "Strict AVCHD setting for Dvd5/9" for?T.I.A. I may have inadvertently posted twice, if so sorry.

I have just finished the Lord of the Rings Bluray box set. The other 2 discs worked fine, but this disc is giving me problems. I have tried 2 different versions of BD-RB with the same result. I have never seen these errors before.

If you're doing movie only then it won't work and if you did see subtitles then you wouldn't be able to get rid of them. You still need a menu to access subtitles. I always remove all subtitles except English ones just in case they are part of the actual movie.

    libavcodec

Go into FFDSHOW decoder config and look for MPEG2 and set it to libavcodec.

Some BD movies are still encoded in MPEG2 just at a high bitrate.

I haven't tried it since it is much to low a bitrate for my tastes but I'm thinking that you will probably have to mux the audio down before reencoding. Is there a reason why you've chosen such a low bitrate? You'll have to experiment to find one that works.

After changing the ffdshow setting to libavcodec this is what I get. I just don't understand why a box set of 3 will contain 2 discs that work and 1 that doesn't.

New Release: BD Rebuilder v0.33.04(April 9th, 2010) (beta)

    http://www.jdobbs.net/freeware/BD-RBV03304.zip

    - Moved the reporting from "INSPECT.EXE" into BD-RB so
it will be activated after any encoding failure.
    - Made tweaks to the "Automatic Quality Settings" that
adjusts a little more finely based on source size.
    - Corrected an error in which movie-only alternate
output could error when the original satisfied the
output sizing "no reencode necessary" criteria.
    - Corrected a bug introduced in v0.33.03 that would
    result in runtime error 11.
    - Updated the included version of X264.EXE to the
    latest release (r1523).
    - Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes.

There were serious flaws in 33.03 and as a result it was removed from download. If you have it then replace it with 33.04 without hesitation. You can link to it from redice's post above.

'I want to convert DTS down to 192kbps... Tried changing the bitrate in 'View/Edit Config File' but it still converted to 640kbps!?'

Does any BD Rebuilder expert in here have a yes or no for if the above can be done???

    Any experts please?

BD-RB was updated and ran. It told me that Avisynth 2.58 was not "ok" and to try version 2.57. I uninstalled 2.58 and went back to 2.57. Now BD-RB is posting the "ok" on every line. Which seems like a good idea to let the user know he is using the proper versions.

The answer to your issue then was always in the first post that gave information about setupd.

I guess I'll have to add that to my signature because it's easy to forget as a suggestions.

Didn't you ask this question at Doom and it didn't get answered? Perhaps the issue is narrowing your choice to just BD Rebuilder. Have you tried to ask that question in this thread?

    HI all,

I was wondering if someone can tell me which files to copy after BD-Rebuilder had successfully encoded the movie cloud. I tried to use Imgburn to creat an ISO image with BDMV and Certificate folder so that I could check with powerdvd before I waste anything. The menu came up okay but as soon as I pushed play everything turned dark without any audio. I was trying to back up to BD-25 with the BD rebuilder but BDMV and Certificate were only 3.07 GB. Is this right? It didn't make sense to me so I tried to create another ISO image with Imgburn. This time I added the workfiles because it has 18gb. But the screen still turned dark after I pushed play. Please Help

Edit. (4/17) I adjusted configuration settings to achieve desired result.

What is the video quality difference between the new "automatic quality settings" and the prior version quality settings of "very-high."

I am doing a movie now with the newest version and noticed that "automatic quality settings" is only performing 1 pass of the video. The prior version I would always choose the highest quality setting and get 2 passes of the video.

    Thx

The encode and frame rates and resolution of the extra's are quite different (MPEG-2 29.97 fps 720X480 standard DVD specs) than the actual movie (MPEG-2 23.97 fps 1920x1080 MPEG-2 BD SPECS). Try just a movie only reencode.
