Hey, im a newbie and i have vista basic with Roxio and i want to back-up a few movies but they all have protection, im just wondering what is the best thing to use to decrypt them? and should i use roxio or is it crap lol?

you can keep roxio if you want as long as it doesn't conflict with the other program which it might. if it does uninstall roxio and run the clean tool and roxio zapper to remove it from your machine then if you are going to use the freeware install imgburn. if you are going to use the payware (clonedvd + anydvd or dvdfab platinum)they already have burning engines built in. http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml

sometimes Vista and DVD shrink can be a problem so if there is one post back and we can go over the fix
