Burn 300+ MP3 files to a CD-R

I am having problems when I burn 300+ MP3 files to a CD-R. I want the files burned in chronological order. I am using Nero 6 and no matter what I do the files end up on the CD sorted by filename. In Nero when I select the files I have them sorted by Modified Date but when they are burned they are sorted by the file name. Any idea on how to solve this problem.

    Thanks.

I am using StreamRipper and WinAmp to record internet radio stations. The files are 128 Kbps so you can fit lots of them on a CD. Also there are a few station identifier messages so not every file is a song. Its not like regular radio, no long commercials. I just burned a CD with 273 MP3 files but only used 656 MB. If I had used the full 700MB available I would have come close to 300.
