I have just bought a powerbook with a superdrive which has a dvd RW. I want to copy dvds onto dvd-r and have come accross the problem that the dvds are bigger than the space on the dvd-r.
I have tried to get my head around the advice on the forum but I feel totally lost. I need an idiots guide to all this because I have never done this before.
On the Mac is says that I can compress the dvd in "disk utilities" but if I burn the compressed data to dvd-r will it be able to be read by my dvd player? Do I need the special software I keep reding about or is that for the pc not mac? What exactley do I need to do? I thought that by having the superdrive that all this would be straight forward but it is doing my head in.
    Please help.

    Thank you.
